St. Patrick's Day Dinner and Auction
Info
Please join American Legion Post 28 and Auxiliary Unit 28 for the Annual St Patrick’s Day Girls State and Boys State Dinner and Auction fundraiser.
Special guest: the National President of the American Legion Auxiliary, Trish Ward.
This Dinner/Auction is the main event for raising the necessary funds to sponsor young women and men for an experience of a lifetime. Girls State and Boys State are each a one week long intensive active learning experience of state government. There are also many opportunities for scholarships as well as making friends and constructive decisions regarding our state and their future.
This is a fun time for all in attendance; and, they have the added benefit of knowing the money spent is going for a very good cause.
The main meal consists of traditional corned beef and cabbage but ham is available for those who would prefer it. There’ll also be lots of items to bid on in the auction, including some delicious baked goods. We’ll even have a blarney stone to bring you good luck. And because both The American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary are non-profit veterans organizations, your donations are tax deductible.
EVENT SCHEDULE:
- 4pm Meet & Greet
- 5pm Formal Opening
- 5:45ish Dinner served
- 7pm Silent Auction closes (which actually begins Fri 14 March)
- We’ll then hear a few words from our National President, Trish Ward, then begin the Live Auction.
