Girls State and Boys State Fundraiser

Saturday, March 18th, 5pm, is the Annual St Patrick’s Day Girls State and Boys State Dinner and Auction at the American Legion Post 28 (276 8th Ave NW – Ephrata).
This is the main fundraiser for raising the necessary funds to sponsor young women and men for an experience of a lifetime. Girls State and Boys State are each a one week long intensive active learning experience of state government. There are also many opportunities for scholarships as well as making friends and constructive decisions regarding our state and their future.
The dinner and auction is a fun time for all in attendance; and, they have the added benefit of knowing the money they spend is going for a very good cause. The main meal consists of the traditional corned beef and cabbage; but, ham is available for those that would prefer it. Meal will be served at 6pm. There will also be lots of items to bid on in the auction, including some delicious baked goods. We’ll even have a blarney stone to bring you good luck. And because both The American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary are non-profit veterans organizations, your donations are tax deductible.
Members and guests are encouraged to get their tickets early; they are available at the Post Home during business hours 1-7pm Monday thru Sat, 9am-6pm Sunday. The cost for this special event is just $12 and $20 for couples.
