Columbia Basin Veterans Hub (FOB Columbia) now open!

Introducing a new local resource center focused on providing our veterans with the tools they need to better navigate life after service.

At FOB Columbia, we are dedicated to empowering veterans and their families by providing comprehensive social services programs tailored to meet their unique needs.

Our mission is to bridge the gap between veterans and essential resources, ensuring they have access to the support necessary for successful reintegration into civilian life. We focus on advocacy, collaboration, and community engagement to create sustainable solutions that enhance the quality of life for our veterans. The idea is to create a space for community providers to come in and focus on veterans in an environment where we can provide wrap-around services.

Through partnerships with local organizations, government agencies, and community members, we strive to foster a supportive environment where veterans can thrive. Currently the Grant County VSO and Rob Bates, a WDVA counseling and wellness provider, are the dedicated supporting elements. Periodically, Wenatchee CBOC HUD-Vash Social workers and Mann-Grandstaff representatives make scheduled visits to assist local veterans with housing and health care concerns. There is also now VA Telehealth services available on site.

Our initiatives include individualized case management, mental health support, employment counseling, and community outreach programs designed to raise awareness of available resources. The Hub is small but we hope to get to a point where we have regularly scheduled visitation from every agency’s veterans outreach personnel, simplifying the navigation of the system. Every state agency has outreach contacts – we want to have them in our offices at least once a month in a predictable manner.

At FOB Columbia, we believe in the power of community and are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of those who have served our nation. Join us in our mission to advocate for veterans and build a strong network of support within our community.

FOB Columbia opened last November. Congressman Newhouse visited while we were still putting furniture together. We had a soft opening on Monday, Nov 4th, and a grand opening on November 22nd from 12-3pm.

Members of the community join in celebrating the grand opening of FOB Columbia.
