The Vet Corps Navigators around the Wenatchee Valley have come together to create a new Veterans Food Bank operation. Managed by Mark Harle (@ The Bunker), Jose Solis (@ Douglas County VSO), Trent Mortensen (@ Chelan County VSO), and Joe Gerak (@ WVC), this new food bank aims to serve needy Veterans and their families specifically.
In March, the Vet Corps Navigators hosted their first major donation drive in conjunction with Blossom Creek Assisted Living. Everything pictured here, along with about $150 in financial donations, was collected on 16 March.
Located next to the new Wenatchee Veterans Hall, at 1208 N. Wenatchee Ave, the Veterans Food Bank does not have regular open hours. Veterans in need should contact one of the Vet Corps Navigators (listed above), or Vets Serving Vets, to arrange for pickup. Community members wishing to donate should also coordinate with one of the Navigators, at least until the next donation drive is announced.
