American Legion Veterans Service organization. A place of camaraderie and assistance, with a dash of community service. Membership in the American Legion is based on honorable service with the U. S. Armed Forces, at least one day of active military duty since December 7, 1941, either still actively serving or with an Honorable discharge.
The Columbia American Legion in Brewster is actively involved with the community, often hosting yard sales and meals. They have a bar where they host dinners, watch parties, darts, and sometimes even live music. Watch Facebook for announcements of upcoming events.
