The WVC Vet Navigator put on a resource fair on 18 Feb 2020 for the Veteran Students of WVC and for the community. It was a great turnout with about 10 veteran-specific resources, including SSVF, VFW Post 3617 (who brought coffee and cookies to the event), American Legion Post 10, Worksource, GCU, mental health counselors, (Chelan County Veteran Service Officer) Tony Sandoval, and Spokane VA. There were also multiple College Resources, such as the disability counselor, Trio, and Laura Murphy (the Certifying Official). 9 students showed up to come and ask questions and get answers which is a pretty good turn out for a brand-new event that we want to continue every year and have the school support more and more for the veterans on campus. I want to send a big Thank you for everyone who came and supported and wanted to be a part of this event.
