Hey everyone. I know it’s been a while and I’ve been kinda quiet, but things are shifting. I am finding more time to focus on the efforts needed here at NCW Veterans Info, along with a refresehd sense of purpose.
Over the coming months, you may notice some changes here on the website. I’ve got quite a bit of modernizing I’m working on behind the scenes, but it should result in a better looking directory and blog moving forward.
First up, I have replaced the old Events system with a more-universal tool, Google Calendar. Check out the new Calendar. This makes for easier management of events on my part, portability of events data for the future, and (hopefully) ease of use for you since you can save the events to your own reminder system.
I am still in the process of reviewing all the events that I have listed, so if you spot something with an incorrect time, location, description, or recurrence, please let me know.
I also want to hear if you run into technical issues using the new calendar – is it too small to read or click on the events? Did the map or event links not work as expected?
As I mentioned, there will be some other changes coming, so consider this your open call to leave me some Website Usage Feedback – what do you like or not about the directory as it currently is? What would you like to see me change?
